Acoustic
A denser curtain can take a little harshness out of a bright, hard room. If you are asking about acoustic fabric, we will show options and be clear about what a curtain can reasonably do.
Softening a room, not sealing it
Fabric at the window can absorb some sound and stop a hard echo. It will not turn a living room into a studio, and we do not claim a decibel rating.
The useful test is whether a heavier, fuller curtain would make the room more comfortable to talk in, alongside the light control you already want.
What to ask us
Tell us if the issue is neighbour noise, echo in a high room, or both. Photos of the space — flooring, ceiling height, and the windows — help us suggest a cloth and a heading with more body.
If a specific acoustic product is available, we will say so. If the better path is simply a fuller blackout or dim-out, we will say that too.
A good fit when
- Hard rooms with tile or glass that feel loud to talk in
- Windows where you already want a substantial curtain
- Homes asking whether fabric can help, without expecting studio performance
What helps us advise you
- What bothers you more: echo in the room, or sound from outside
- Photos that show the windows and the floor and ceiling
- The light control you still need from the same curtain
